3D Science animation: Hantavirus: What you need to know

When the Hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius made global headlines in May 2026, we wanted to explain the science properly. Most people had never heard of the Andes strain, didn’t know Hantavirus was a family of over 40 viruses, and had no idea that one of them, uniquely, can spread from person to person. This explainer covers all of it, clearly and accurately.
The format is intentionally simple. A single Hantavirus particle rotates slowly against a deep navy background while text reveals walk through the key facts. No clutter, no distraction… the visual does its job and gets out of the way of the information.
What makes the animation stand out is what’s underneath the surface.
